Casis “Just Play” Summer Camp Throws Dough at Home Slice

Posted in Friends, Neighbors and Regulars by propermountain on July 6, 2010

Last Wednesday nine kids and two teachers from the Casis “Just Play” Summer Camp program visited Home Slice for lunch and a pizza tossing workshop with our kitchen manager Phil and two of our top pizzaiolos, Theo and Jose. We kinda figured it would be fun for kids to stretch dough in their hands, throw it into the air, and cover themselves in flour, but it warms our hearts that they also enjoyed learning  that pizza making is an art and a time honored tradition. They were able to see first hand how much skill it takes to produce the delicious pizza pies they love to eat. Everyone including the Home Slicers had a blast. In fact, Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Stephens and the campers had such a good time that they put together this slide show complete with photos and video.
