Thursday 3/19:

Our friends over at KUT have a great site up this year covering the festival so check out their coverage of all things South by Southwest.

Also, here are some pics and testimonials from year’s past:

“… that day party was by far the most enjoyable event of all of SXSW — you guys were so on it and we cannot thank you enough for treating us with such care. We would love the opportunity to perform again at homeslice next year – so please do keep us in the loop.”

All the best,

Chris Ward of Pattern is Movement

“…the whole process was delightful from beginning to end – you guys definitely threw MY fave party of the week & we couldn’t have asked for a better end note to our time in austin!

totally looking forward to seeing you guys next year! thanks for being such great hosts – and as a pizza addict myself, i gotta say having my two loves, rock n’ roll & pizza, together was like a dream come true. (srsly, i really love pizza. it’s kind of a problem! my friends have staged interventions! haha.)

anyway, thanks again sooooooo much! homeslice rocks!”

“Please believe me when I say that our afternoon at Homeslice was, far and away, my favorite few hours at SXSW in recent memory. You guys took such nice care of the Subs and I really enjoyed the event. (Good pies, too.) I really appreciate the hospitality. Makes all the difference.”

Darius Zelkha, Manager, The Submarines

“…just wanted to say a BIG “thank you” from my sister and I!!!

yesterday was so much fun and truly a perfect ending to our SxSW trip… free pizza and beer are probably two of my favorite things :)…

…Thanks again! It was a raging success!”

Chandra Watson of The Watson Twins

“The highlight of the day, if not the whole festival, was our last performance at Home Slice Pizza. It was a super relaxed affair, a welcome change to the frenzy that was our two prior shows. So many people came out to see us, it really made our day. After we were done, we sold cds out of the back of our van like MC Hammer and then had all the free pizza we could eat. Best Damn Pizza in Austin.”

Rock out with your slice hot!

XOXO

    Hi,

We are bringing OUT FROM ANIMALS from the UK to SXSW and we’d love the band to play your venue one evening.

    Thanks

Hey, could one of you please send me an email so that I can send you a press kit? A band from Florida really wants to eat pizza with you again this year for a day party.

    thanks,

    emmie

    Hello –

I had an incredible time at Home Slice Pizza during last year’s SxSW. This year, Wicked Cool Records (the label owned by Little Steven Van Zandt) has several bands making the trip to Austin, from all over the world, including The Urges (Ireland), Cocktail Slippers (Norway), The Breakers (Copenhagen), and The Woggles (Athens, GA).

It would be fantastic if there was some kind of opening on your schedule where one (or more) of these bands could play. We would obviously get behind this via Facebook, MySpace, etc. In addition, Little Steven is also the host of a weekly syndicated radio show, called The Underground Garage, and we would be promoting these gigs to the listeners via emails, the radio show, etc.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Greetings,
I am a local promoter/engineer/musician who is looking for a venue for one of my groups to perform at during SXSW. I noticed the same bands were playing all days of the conference and was wondering if there might be room for another in case of cancellations, etc..Please feel free to contact me whenever possible if the opportunity arises. The group is called ‘Restless Breed’ by the way and I believe they would be a perfect compliment to the bands already slated to perform. Thanx a million!
    Cheers,
    Dan A./Kryptos Records
